Please join Grand River Solutions and Bernstein Shur for a joint webinar on Maine’s LD 1727, facilitated by Joseph Storch of Grand River Solutions and Kai McGintee of Bernstein Shur.

In May of 2022, LD 1727 was enacted as the latest state law addressing sexual and interpersonal violence on college campuses. The law, which applies to all Maine public and private colleges, is similar to laws passed in other northeastern states, but has key differences and applications. In this session, facilitators will provide an overview of the new law, discuss specific challenges and complexities, provide information about the climate survey requirement, and provide additional analysis where warranted. Attendees will hear about the context of the new law in relation to other federal laws and regulations including potential changes to Title IX and the Violence Against Women Act climate survey.

This Webinar is Ideal For:

  • Maine Title IX Coordinators,
  • Student Affairs (including Conduct and Residence Life & Housing), Counseling, Police and Public Safety, Prevention and Health Promotions, and Institutional Research.
