Law Firm Bernstein Shur Names New Co-Chairs for Labor and Employment Practice Group

Schneider and Tarasevich to Lead Team

Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, named two new co-chairs to lead its Labor and Employment Practice Group, Ronald W. Schneider, Jr. and Matt Tarasevich.

Bernstein Shur’s Labor and Employment Practice Group provides representation and counsel to employers throughout northern New England in all aspects of employment law and regulation. The group is ranked in Chambers USA as top in the field and regularly presents seminars on current issues.

Ron Schneider

Ronald W. Schneider, Jr., shareholder, is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group, Health Care Group and Litigation Group. His practice consist of all aspects of employment law, including Title VII claims, the ADA, whistleblower claims, employee misconduct and theft, employment agreements, non-compete agreements, investigations, discipline, terminations and the FMLA. Schneider is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for employment law. A resident of Wells, ME, Schneider earned his JD from University of Maine School of Law, cum laude, and his BA from Bates College.

 

Matt Tarasevich

Matt Tarasevich, shareholder, is a member of the Labor and Employment Practice Group, Municipal and Regulatory Practice Group and Litigation Group. He provides employment law representation for clients in the ME state and federal courts, as well as at the administrative agency level, including the ME Human Rights Commission and the ME Labor Relations Board. Tarasevich represents public sector clients on a variety of municipal labor and employment issues, including grievances, arbitrations and collective bargaining, and is the co-chair of the ME State Bar Association Municipal Law Section. He advises clients on a broad range of employment and labor-related topics, drafts and reviews employee policies and agreements, and acts as a mediator on personnel and employment related-issues. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in America for employment law and AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. A resident of Portland, ME, Tarasevich earned his JD from Northeastern University School of Law and his BS from University of Rhode Island.
