Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH, (January 15, 2016) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, welcomes John Moran to the firm’s Portland, ME office.

Joining the firm’s Business Law Practice Group, Moran is part of a dynamic team of business law attorneys who provide strategic counseling and day-to-day assistance to a broad array of corporate clients on matters ranging from mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, intellectual property development and licensing, and general business and corporate matters.

Moran advises a number of business clients, including craft breweries and other food and beverage companies, concerning federal and state regulatory licensing and compliance, start-up formation, corporate governance, and brand protection. Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, he was a business associate at a Portland, ME law firm. He also served as a legal extern with both the ME District Courts and the Appellate Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of ME.

Moran earned his J.D. from The University of Maine School of Law, magna cum laude, and his undergraduate degree from The University of ME in Political Science, magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice in the state of ME and commonwealth of Massachusetts. He resides in Portland, ME.
