Bernstein Shur Attorney Edward “Ned” Sackman Appointed to Merrimack Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Manchester, NH (January 17, 2013) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced the appointment of attorney Ned Sackman to the Merrimack Chamber of Commerce board of directors.

The Merrimack Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses working to grow and support industry in the Merrimack community. As a member of the board of directors Sackman will support current members through business development, networking, employee education and community relations.

“Merrimack is an exciting place in New Hampshire right now. It has seen a significant uptick in commercial activity over the last few years,” said Sackman. “I have gotten to know many of Merrimack’s business people through chamber events, and it’s exciting to be able to serve them now as a member of the board.”

A resident of Concord, New Hampshire, Sackman is an attorney with Bernstein Shur’s Litigation Group and Business Law Practice Group. His diverse practice includes intellectual property matters, commercial litigation and the representation of private schools. He also devotes time to pro bono work in the community, including a habeas corpus petition in a death penalty case.

Sackman received his BA from Tulane University and his JD from the University of Virginia School of Law. Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, he clerked for Judge Thomas M. Golden of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
