Bernstein Shur Welcomes Attorney Krystal Williams
Portland and Augusta, ME (March 3, 2020) – Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce that attorney Krystal Williams has joined the firm as a member of its Portland-based Energy and Environmental Practice Group. Williams will focus on public utility regulation and renewable energy development.
Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Williams assisted public utilities and private developers in regulatory, commercial, and litigation contexts. She has additional experience representing energy companies before state agencies, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in court proceedings. Williams also held senior program and project management positions for more than a decade at Deere & Company (Moline, Ill.), a Fortune 500 company, providing critical analysis of global manufacturing operations and negotiating major commercial and real estate contracts.
Williams earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law, her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, and her B.A. in Mathematics and Psychology from Williams College. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the ACLU of ME and the Lerner Foundation. Williams is also a former Peace Corps Volunteer who passionately devotes her time to pro bono causes and represents asylum seekers before the U.S. Customs and Immigration Services. She resides in Portland, ME.
