Bernstein Shur’s David Ray Accepted to American Arbitration Association’s Roster of Arbitrators
Portland, ME (February 23, 2012)—Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced that David Ray, shareholder and member of the firm’s Construction Practice Group, has been accepted to the American Arbitration Association’s roster of arbitrators. The American Arbitration Association provides services to individuals and organizations who wish to resolve conflicts
out of court.
Ray specializes in construction law, representing contractors, subcontractors, developers, lenders, sureties and owners in all areas, including bidding issues, job problems, mechanics’ liens, bond claims, design error, omission claims and insurance coverage issues.
In addition, Ray is experienced in commercial, insurance and personal injury law, as well as general civil litigation. He has tried numerous cases in ME state courts and has considerable arbitration experience. Ray frequently serves as a mediator and arbitrator for construction, commercial and general civil disputes. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his work in construction law and alternative dispute resolution.
Ray graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School. He is a member of the ME State Bar Association, American Bar Association, Cumberland Bar Association, ME Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association, ABA Forum on the Construction Industry, ME Bar Foundation and Yarmouth School Committee. He resides in Yarmouth.
