David Soley and Glenn Israel featured in Maine Lawyers Review for Short Term Rental Case
Litigation and Real Estate Shareholders David Soley and Glenn Israel were featured in the September 28th edition of Maine Lawyers Review for their work in the Morgan, et al. v. Townsend case.
The article, Deed Restriction vs. Short Term Rentals, describes the case of a short-term property in Cushing, Maine, that is frequently rented to out-of-towners and marketed as good for large groups on popular online short term rental sites. Neighbors of the property filed a suit against the owner, and ultimately won on the basis that the frequent guests were disturbing the neighborhood. The case is seen as a win for the small community of Cushing, looking to preserve its classic Maine serenity.
