Law Firm Bernstein Shur Welcomes Associate Helen Sterling
New Associate Joins Business Law Practice Group
Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH
(July 15, 2013) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, welcomed its newest associate, Helen Sterling, to the firm’s Portland, ME office.
Sterling joins the firm’s Business Law Practice Group. She is part of a dynamic team of business law attorneys who provide strategic counseling and day-to-day assistance to a broad array of corporate clients on matters ranging from mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, intellectual property development and licensing, securities regulation and general business and corporate matters.
Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Sterling was a corporate associate at Brown Rudnick LLP in Boston. While at Brown Rudnick, she counseled domestic and global clients on a variety of business law matters, including corporate formation and maintenance, venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions and securities law compliance.
Sterling earned her JD from Boston College Law School and her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, where she graduated cum laude. Prior to attending law school she worked as a paralegal for two years in San Francisco. She is admitted to practice in the state of ME and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Sterling lives in Portland.
