Maine Human Resources Expert Joins Bernstein Shur as New Chief People Officer

PORTLAND, ME, AND MANCHESTER, NH – Following the successful recruitment of a new chief executive officer, Bernstein Shur strengthens its leadership team with the addition of Ali Worster who will serve as the firm’s first ever chief people officer. In this critical role, Worster will be instrumental in advancing key priorities of the firm’s new strategic plan, including deepening employee engagement, enhancing firm culture, and ensuring the firm continues to retain and attract top-tier talent.

Worster has more than 15 years of experience as a human resources leader at some of Maine’s largest and most respected organizations. Most recently, she served as the vice president of human resources at Northern Light Health in Bangor. She also served two stints for General Dynamics at Bath Iron Works, where she was senior manager of labor relations and chief ethics and compliance officer.

“Ali embodies servant-leadership and brings a collaborative approach to strategic hiring and extensive experience in talent development and management,” said Kaveri Subbarao, Bernstein Shur’s incoming chief executive officer. “Adding Ali to our exceptional leadership team will enable us to achieve our growth plan in an accelerated fashion, while strengthening our ability to attract top talent and enhance the services we provide to clients across Northern New England and beyond.”

Worster received her juris doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee. She also has a master of laws degree from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law at Drexel University and a graduate certification from Bentley University.

She is a former adjunct professor at Husson University and a guest lecturer at the University of Maine Economics and Healthcare Business Collaborative.

Worster will join the firm in her new role on Monday, Feb. 24.
