Shareholders John Moran and Chris Dargie to lead Business Law Practice Group
Bernstein Shur is pleased to announce the appointment of Shareholder John Moran as co-leader of the firm’s Business Law Practice Group alongside current co-leader and Shareholder Chris Dargie.
Together, John and Chris will lead the firm’s interdisciplinary business law team in delivering strategic legal counsel and practical, efficient business advice to clients involved in a wide array of industries and markets, including the state’s start-up community and entrepreneurial ecosystem, as well as the life sciences, healthcare, food and beverage, hospitality, and regulated substances industries.

A native Portlander, John joined Bernstein Shur in 2016 and was elected Shareholder in 2022. He advises numerous and diverse business clients on various legal matters, including purchases and sales of businesses and ownership interests, private equity and debt financings, commercial financings, supply and distribution contracts, and federal and state licensing and compliance matters. As co-leader of the firm’s Food and Beverage Industry Group, John works with a significant number of craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, and other food and beverage companies throughout New England regarding general business matters and federal and state liquor licensing matters.
