Bernstein Shur Welcomes Litigation Attorney Jack Woodcock
Portland and Augusta, ME and Manchester, NH (08, 2016) – Bernstein Shur, one of northern New England’s largest law firms, announced the addition of Jack Woodcock to the firm’s Portland, ME office.
Woodcock joins the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where his practice will focus on commercial litigation and dispute resolution for both individuals and businesses. Prior to joining Bernstein Shur, Woodcock worked as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, where he defended the United States in several civil suits of national importance, including two separate bellwether cases involving Hurricane Katrina’s flooding of New Orleans. Before working for the Department of Justice, Woodcock was a law clerk to the Honorable Warren M. Silver, Associate Justice of the ME Supreme Judicial Court.
Woodcock earned his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law, cum laude, where he was a managing editor of the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal, and his B.A. from Bowdoin College. Woodcock is admitted to practice in ME and Massachusetts, and resides in Cumberland, ME, with his family.
