Here’s why you’ll enjoy working with him.

Lucas is a commercial litigator who brings experience as a federal law clerk and an associate at a large, international Boston law firm to his practice. A highly detail-oriented and skilled writer, he is adept at distilling complex legal concepts and facts into a straightforward narrative. Drawing from his roots in rural Maine, Lucas brings a unique perspective that resonates with his clients, supporting strong connections alongside a deep understanding of their legal needs.

Lucas has represented companies in a broad array of legal areas and industries, including litigation and government investigations with millions or billions of dollars at stake. He has experience working in various stages of litigation, including discovery, drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions and expert reports, and working on appellate briefs. In addition, Lucas has honed his writing and analytical skills while working as a law clerk on the District of Massachusetts and First Circuit Court of Appeals.

But that’s not all. Lucas is also experienced in:

  • White collar and government investigations, including State Attorney General and SEC investigations
  • Corporate and contract disputes
  • Patent litigation
  • Civil rights litigation, including voting rights, disability rights, and government benefits
  • Complex e-discovery

In his former life, Lucas was:

  • A senior associate attorney in the commercial litigation group at WilmerHale in Boston
  • A law clerk for the Hon. Sandra L. Lynch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit
  • A law clerk for the Hon. Nathaniel M. Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts
  • A summer intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, Division of Open Government
  • Articles Editor for the Boston University Law Review

When Lucas isn’t working, he is…

Playing and watching basketball (go Celtics), enjoying the Maine outdoors, and spending time with his wife and orange tabby cat. He also enjoys playing classic rock on his guitar whenever he has the chance.
